When one thinks of yakiniku, it's usually either all you can eat or at a costly restaurant. But then we discovered this place simply called Yakiniku. It was a fast food style restaurant. The menu is in English and Chinese. You order by an iPad-like device. They offer sets that include a soup, rice and appetizer. Price is also dependent on how many grams of meat you want. You can also choose if you want salt or bbq sauce on it.Each table comes with a personal grilling station. It claims it is smok

Each table comes with a personal grilling station. It claims it is smokeless.
There are sauces on the side to season the meat.
We ordered two sets to share.
This is the beef brisket, pork belly and chicken leg set ($91 for 300g) and chose it to have bbq sauce.
The sauce was merely poured on top and wasn't really marinaded in it. Meat quality was ok. Nothing truely stood out.
The other set we chose was the flat iron steak and beef tongue ($86 for 100g) and chose to only have salt.
The meat quality was also ok. The flat iron steak was pretty good and definitely the meat to choose again.
The set includes an appetizer which was kimchi.
There was also a simple dashi soup with seaweed in it. This was terrible.
For a fast food style experience it was definitely fine. The food was ok, not great. Price was not overly expensive. And it is difficult to find a yakiniku restaurant where you can grill alone. A very interesting experience.
