Shatin seemed to be packed during dinner time. That is probably why we ended up here. It was random and there was a constant flow of diners in and out. Thus, the wait wasn't long.Thai Village Deli is a fast food Thai place. Their set up is a bit like Cafe de Coral. They have various sets and you order and pay at the cashier. I went with the Hainan chicken rice ($55). The chicken was boneless. The rice was dry and portion was average. The sauce was very spicy. It was not that great but at least the chicken had some flavor.
Boyfriend ordered the Thai Green Curry with Beef ($56). He wasn't too happy with it. The curry wasn't spicy and seemed watered down. The beef was tough and hard to chew.
Food wasn't that good and not exceptionally cheap. Seating is cramped. Will not be back.
