I love pasta and happy to find this cafe nearby.Looks different from other small local restaurants along this street, nicely decorated.Excellent customer services, family owned, a father and his daughter, and very important, Chef is the Filipino maid.Can't say the food quality is excellent, but quite good enough for this small cafe. They have home-made sweet corn soup and spinach soup
. I prefer the sweet corn soup, rich and smooth; the spinach soup looks oily. The bowl can be smaller, actually the portion is not small but the bowl is too large and the shape doesn't really look nice.Spaghetti bolognese and carbonara are two basics to test the food quality. Spaghetti bolognese is quite good, HOT! Portion of ingredients are very good, with mushroom and onion, yummy. Carbonara can be better, not that creamy and the bacon they used is tasteless, making the whole carbonara taste boring.
They have vegetarian choices, spinach with either cream or tomato sauce. Taste is ok, but if they can make the spinach in smaller pieces will be much better.Salmon with cream and black truffle sauce is ok, but black truffle is just a gimmick because it has no truffle taste at all. The chicken fillet one is not bad. Surprise one is the beef one in black pepper and tomato sauce, very good. I don't really like beef+spaghetti, but this one is recommended.
Haven't tried their dessert, maybe next time. Coffee, ...ok, not bad.
One chef cooking in a small kitchen, so usually need to wait around 10-15 minutes for your order to be served.
