It was a dinner date with someone special so I had to go no matter what. For safety reason, we found somewhere more quiet so we found this place at Tai Hang. They also had a special menu with more courses which were just slightly more expensive: 6-course at $688+10% and 7-course at $798+10%. They also had more economical daily special of steak with free float of Cheese Gatin Potato or Pan-friend Herbs Potato at just $388+10% or $298+10% including 1 glass of red or white wine. 

As we were not so hungry, we decided to order 2 starters and 2 mains to share.

Blink blink! When it was brought to us, I was so surprised by the nice presentation. It reminded me of shiny stars in the dark sky! The Hokkaido Scallop was of sashimi quality and was pan seared just a little bit so that it was still very rare inside. We could tell that it was of pretty top notch quality and it was super fresh and meaty. There was some caviar on top, adding to the preciousness of the whole dish. There were two types of salads: mixed fruit salad which was sweet and crispy and green salad dressed by some black vinegar and olive oil. There was some redcurrant jelly at the bottom. Ingredients were fresh indeed. What an appetising dish. It was worth noting that the server introduced the dish to us in details, similar to those Michelin restaurants! I was quite impressed.

Crab Meat & Mango Salad at $168+10%


It was very special with a Chinese-style bird nest which was deep fried so well that it was super super crunchy! There was a crab meat paste on top which went so well with the bird nest. The mango slices were very sweet. Together with the sweet peach slices and other fruits, they were quite a good balance to the crab meat paste and bird nest. Like the other starter, there were some greens dressed with black vinegar and olive oil. The server also introduced this dish to us in details.


It didn't take too long before our mains arrived.

Pan Seared Boston Lobster accompanied by Risotto with Urchin in Lobster Sauce at $458+10%

The lobster smelt so nice when served. It was pan seared very well that it was cooked to the perfect degree - very tender and juicy! The risotto had my favourite al dente texture and was well covered by lobster sauce. There were some lobster and vegetable pieces to mix with the risotto, enhancing the texture of the dish. Portion was big to fill our stomach. Please note the green grape slices which were also served in the starters, adding some sweet flavour to this dish. The yellow sauce on the side was also sweet and went well with the lobster.

Pan Seared US Prime Striploin with Red Wine Gravy at $418+10%


There were three big pieces of striploin. They were so thick. I loved the supposedly Cheese Gratin Potato on the side because it had a slightly crunchy crust and soft interior. There were also some vegetable cubes on the side.


In short, all dishes had a very nice presentation. I especially loved the seafood here and was impressed by the server's kind introduction of the dishes. Quite a nice fine dining experience.
