Baby Gem Caesar Salad with Smoked Anchovy, Parmesan shavings and an abundance of thick Bacon strips.
Charcoal-Grilled Squid with Togarashi (七味粉) and lemon. The squid was expertly grilled, then cut into pieces. The togarashi added a touch of heat and complexity to the smokiness; well balanced by the citrus tanginess.
Whole Amadai fish baked with Roasted Garlic, tomatoes, and Lemon. Although Chilli Butter was on the menu, I didn’t feel any spiciness.
Charcoal-Grilled Spanish Octopus: tender and succulent, with a smoky flavor. Loved the crispy tentacles.
Holstein breed Sirloin from Southern California, US. Asked for medium and came expertly cooked. Went very well with the Brown Butter and Horseradish Cream on the side.
Initially wanted to order the Spring chicken, which was sold out. Server came up with the alternative of the slightly bigger portion of yellow chicken but we were afraid it was too much. So ordered instead the Charcoal-Grilled Iberico Pork Rack- rich and robust taste. Only 1 piece left by the time my phone-camera came to it.
Potato Churros- crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with a delightful potato flavor. The garlic aioli added a creamy and tangy element that complemented the churros perfectly. Everyone was fighting over these so had to order seconds.
Apple Crumble with Vanilla Sauce, Vanilla Ice Cream, and Almonds
Lemon Tart with Chili Meringue- pastry base was right on point.
Charred Pineapple topped with Coconut cream and Ice Cream. Server came with small pan of flaming White Rum and poured it slowly, providing a delightful twist to the caramelized sweetness of the pineapple.
In summary: diverse and flavorful dining experience with attentive and friendly service. Smoky aroma from the wood fired grill stuck on my hair and clothes.
