It was a lonely night for a durian lover who has just returned from a place where malaysian durians are abundant. Perfect for 2 ppl to share, but i had it as dinner!
The taste was smooth, soft, and well blended.
There was unfortunately a loud woman sitting around and given the small shop, she basically ruined the atmosphere. She told the staff the icecream was not sweet enough compared to malaysian musang king.
In my opinion, however, 1) it was sweet enough, if not slightly on the sweeter side 2) if you've tried bittersweet musang king or king of kings, you'd know bittersweet is better than all sweet.
So overall I liked the taste which is extremely hard to come by in HK!
I saw the woman order a durian pancake which has musang king flesh inside. But the pancake is soft rather than the crispy kind I'd prefer, liks those in Singapore.
Lastly, the service was not too bad. They gave me water after i asked. But they need to be more flexible - when there are very few people in the shop, they should just let people pay at the table rather than requiring me to pop over to the cashier.
Anyway, highly recommended to durian lovers since hk thai durians suck!! )
