Heard of the positive feedback about Katsuisen which is near HKU Station so came here to try for lunch. When you enter Katsuisen there's a mini bridge (about 6-7 steps) from entrance to the floor, quite an interesting decoration. 2 floors restaurant with bar and table seats. Menu offers variety of lunch options from cooked food to sashimi to sushi. Lunch set includes salad, miso soup and sashimi don rice. You can choose 3 sashimi out of 5 options (Salmon, Scallop, Sea Uni, Tuna and Salmon Roe). My don rice is scallop, sea uni and tuna. Presentation of the rice is nicer than I expected with generous portion of the sashimi. All the sashimi is fresh and sweet. Scallop was thick cut. Some restaurants don rice have more rice than sashimi and by the time you're midway of your rice, you may have finished all the sashimi already. It did not happen in here, the generous portion of the sashimi made me finish the whole bowl of rice.
