With all the new take away eating places in the new Sogo grocery section, there is one place that has a constant queue of people. And there is always food! It's this place called 玖子貴. Though the queue maybe long, it goes super fast. We were in and out in about 5 minutes. The staff are constantly frying fish cakes so fresh ones are always made. Each cakes is under $30. The cakes are all labelled in Chinese and English (though SUPER small but they do have a pamphlet with all the names for you to point at).
This is the kagoshima shrimp fish cake ($28). It was served on a stick. Size was not big at all. For $28, it was pretty small. But it tasted really good. The fish cake was still hot as it was fresh from the fryer. It was moist yet still bouncy. The taste of shrimp was pretty strong. The mix of mentaiko gave it spicy bit of kick to it.
The fish cake with green onion ($23). This was not as good as the first one as it was just a lot of onion. Boyfriend liked it enough so if you love green onion, this is for you.
Overall pretty good. Though the size is pretty small. They do have a deep fried egg wrapped in fish meat that is very popular. That seems to sell out quickly as they can't churn that one out fast enough. I'll be back to try that one next time.
