It's been almost 2 years since I last came here and everything still looked the same as before. I hesitate to come here because there are long lines on the weekends, the shop is pretty dilapidated, and there are no AC in the summer. The menu was basic which consisted of instant noodles, toasts, sandwiches, and drinks with pretty cheap prices. There are no sets so everything has to be ordered a la carte. I couldn't decide what to eat at first as I have tried their famous french toast with kaya sauce before, but wasn't a fan of the kaya sauce. I ended up ordering a simple toast with milk tea to match. Toast with Condensed Milk ($9) - the bread was toasted just right as it was crispy and crunchy on the outside while the inside was soft and moist. The condensed milk filling was not too overwhelming and sweet so it was really yummy to eat. A very simple dish that one can make at home but complimented the milk tea perfectly. HK Style Milk Tea ($13) - the milk tea arrived with sugar already added in it. The waitress only asked if you would like it regular or less sweet. Mine was regular and it wasn't too sweet at all and was just right for me. The milk tea was really nicely executed here with a strong flavor of tea while balanced by the evaporated milk. A very satisfying drink with my food! Conclusion - if I ever craved HK style comfort food on the south side, this place is the top choice for me. I didn't have a problem with the service either even though I took quite a while to order. It's one of those places where you get in and get out anyways.
