My wife suggested to have Indian food for lunch today and recommended Shalimar Indian Restaurant as she have positive experience there few years ago. It was located at Pennington Street, few minutes walk from Causeway Bay MTR.They served appetizers, soup, side dishes, curry, tandoori, bread, drinks and desserts etc. Shortly after we ordered our food, they served us a basket of papadam. It was thin in texture and very crispy, with sauce provided to enhance the taste. Sauce was slightly spicy too.

Mango lassi was smooth and milky, sweet in taste and have strong mango taste.
Lamb samosa was huge in size, fried till the skin was crispy. Lamb fillings inside was chewy and flavourful, with no after taste.
Chicken vindaloo - Curry was creamy and thick in texture, very spicy to my liking. The staff provided us a slice of lemon, advised us to add onto the curry if we found it too spicy. Chicken was juicy and smooth, spicy as well.
We order cheese and garlic naan to go along with the curry. Cheese naan was cheesy and chewy while garlic naan was very flavourful, with strong garlic taste. They go well with the curry.
