since there are like 500 photos of the dishes on the other reviews.. i'll just say overall -- super fun, cheap, casual, fusion-y menu, the way they only do it in hong kong. open til 11pm. kitschy pirate decor -- who doesn't like a random full sized pirate hanging by their head from the ceiling? big space, we went at 9:30pm so there was absolutely no wait, but it was still relatively crowded. we had 2 people, 3 huge dishes and spent $128 total. dishes we tried:- white curry pork chop -- everyone
big space, we went at 9:30pm so there was absolutely no wait, but it was still relatively crowded.
we had 2 people, 3 huge dishes and spent $128 total.
dishes we tried:
- white curry pork chop -- everyone gets this and there's a good reason. they do a great fried pork chop, the white curry is creamy and tasty.
- popped rice seafood curry - this was huge and delicious, it's not the most delicious seafood ever - clams, squid, shrimp... but it is very good and the crispy rice towers are delightful.
- satay beef vermicelli - was less bold and interesting than the others, but it was good, a little on the small side.
next time i'm going to try their baked dumpling gratin with cream sauce.
taste was actually between 3-4....
