I have been dying to try Antoshimo ever since I saw it in a magazine! Environment & Hygiene:The wallpapers were very colourful with pictures of animated buns with different cute captions like "I'm the beauty bun B". One may consider it chidish, but it did attempt to give off a happy carefree vibe I guess. Hygiene seemed okay as it was clean and tidy. Servicekay. It was pouring out so I asked if I could have a box to bring the 6 buns home, but I was told the stupid looking school bus box

Okay. It was pouring out so I asked if I could have a box to bring the 6 buns home, but I was told the stupid looking school bus box costs $10 because you also get an ugly looking keychain on the side. Seriously!?
Taste & Value:
Each bun has its own letter: A, B, C, G, O & J. The savory buns C, O & J are longer in shape, where as the sweet ones A,B & G are round. Also, it is labeled cleary on the bag which one you have ordered if you order take out. The order took quite long I felt, but it was a good sign. It meant that they were made to order. All the buns were deep-fried nicely, and stayed warm and crispy for a long time. Overall, I liked the savory ones more, but I also liked the crispy bun and sweet filling combination; it was like a party in my mouth. I also suggest sharing, because every single one of them are so rich, you would need another taste to balance the richness out.
Savory
C. Curry Deliciously rich Japanese pork curry. It was good, but the pork was very fatty. O. Original This was another curry one with a Chinese flare. This was my favourite savory bun. Like the curry one, the flavours were rich. The only difference is that this one didn't have fatty meat in it. J. Potato You could tell that nice potatoes were used because of the taste and freshness. I would have enjoyed it more if the potatoes were more smooth and silky, but you'd enjoy it if you like the natural taste of potatoes. Sweet
All the sweet ones have a ball of chewy Japanese rice cake inside.
A. Red Bean You can see the actual beans slightly mashed into a paste that wasn't overly sweet like how most red bean products are, which is why I liked it. B. Purple Yam This was my favourite sweet one. The yam had a nice texture and I could taste its natutal sweetness. The rice cake went well with the yam, but not so with the red bean and black sesame, which I felt were doing their own thing. G. Black Sesame The black sesame was very rich, and not overly sweet. It tasted good because it tasted like Chinese black sesame soup. Final Verdict:
Very worth trying. I recommend O for savory and B for Sweet.
題外話/補充資料:
You can either dine in or order take out, but dine in requires a min $24 spending per head and 10% service charge; whereas for take out, if you order more than 3 buns, then each bun is $2 cheaper, so $18 each.
