I've been eating at Osaka nearly every other day for the past month. During that time, the food has been consistently good, but the overall portions have, strange as it sounds, shrunk quite a bit.

For example, some of their lunch sets include two pieces of sushi. For the first two weeks, the sushi was "normal-sized". For the past two weeks, however, the sushi has been "miniaturized", with each piece now half the size as the previous sushi. At first, I thought maybe it was an accident, but for the past 6 or 7 times that I've gone, they are still serving this mini sushi.

Another example, for the first two weeks, the amount of udon noodles that came with the lunch set would easily fill half of their bowls. Within the past two weeks, however, you're lucky if you get enough udon noodles to fill even 1/3 of the bowl.

These annoyances aside, here's more "overall" review:

Food: Good quality, but small (and shrinking) quantity.

Price: Pretty high for what you get. After their 10% service fee, the cheapest food in this place is about 80-90 HKD per person. Not very good value.

Service / Environment: Very peaceful inside the restaurant, with a lot of open space. Waitstaff seems fairly attentive.

Overall, I would not recommend this place. It's quite obvious, even to people who have previously never eaten here, that management is trying to cut corners with the food...
