Went here for brunch after reading the good reviews and wanting to try someplace new.  I had a craving for fried chicken, so naturally went for the chicken & waffles, while the gf got the catfish.  The wait was slightly on the long side, especially since we were starving, but the dishes both came at the same time, which does make a good impression (I absolutely loathe restaurants that serve one dish first, then bring the other 10 minutes later, you either have to be rude and have the other person watch you eat then you watch them eat after you finish your dish and theirs arrives, or your food goes cold).

There were a couple of problems though.  The catfish itself was very nice.  However, one of the poached eggs was completely cooked through; very rookie mistake, especially in a $168 dish.  The other problem was the chicken & waffles.  The seasoning was spot on, loved it.  Great crispy batter too.  However, out of the 3 pieces, 2 were overcooked, tough, breast meat and only the 3rd piece, I think thigh, was tender and juicy.  The waffles don't appear "home-made" to me, they seem to be more the frozen kind. Also, this is just personal taste, but they don't give you maple syrup or an imitation maple syrup, they give you something which tastes like molasses.  All in all, I think Green Waffle Diner does this particular dish better, and cheaper.  Maybe I'd have a different opinion if they didn't use breast meat for the chicken, had better waffles, and maple syrup.

Last problem; dessert.  We tried the pumpkin pie, which cost over $70.  I was expecting a nice thick slice from a bigger pie.  Instead, we got a mini tartlet, about 4" in diameter, with an undercooked bottom.  I wouldn't pay $30 for this dessert.  If I come again, I will stick to savory dishes.
