Friends organized a private birthday dinner at d'Oliva, booked weeks ahead. The restaurant is located in a quiet area, away from crowds. Hence we had a quiet, lovely dinner. We had starters consisted of cured meat, smoked salmon, fois gras with bread/ crackers. Main dishes were: (1) yummylicious roasted codfish (mashed codfish and potato) with salad (2) roastbeef with mashed potatoes and salad- I only had a few well done pieces and they were still juicy and tender (3) duck breast (confit de cana
Main dishes were: (1) yummylicious roasted codfish (mashed codfish and potato) with salad (2) roastbeef with mashed potatoes and salad- I only had a few well done pieces and they were still juicy and tender (3) duck breast (confit de canard) - Nicely cooked, topped with orange based sauce. For drinks, we had sangria, spanish red wine as well as champagne and freshly squeezed orange juice. For dessert, we pre-ordered the tiramisu which, in my opinion, was heavenly done. Christina, the cook/owner who was entertaining and funny as hell, even baked a chocolate birthday cake for the birthday girl+boy. Summary, definitely will come here again to try out the rest of the menu
