After a guilt-inducing McDonalds lunch, J, C and I visited Milky Cow together. J and C were too full and passed on Froyo. I ordered an Oreo+mango Small Moo (Melon+original twist. I am a personal fan of cows (as evidenced by my profile pic) and was very delighted to see that they had named their sizes in units of 'Moo's. Moo!~ Love the cute logo too.Froyo:New flavour: MELON. Sadly i couldn't really taste the melon. After all melon doesn't have a particularly strong flavour...that asides, it was a pretty good froyo. I'd heard from my friends that MilkyCow froyo was slightly less sweet, and more sour than the other stores. At first I was reluctant to try because I don't like sour FroYos. But this turned out quite alright. The yoghurt itself actually tastes like Holly Cow (TST East), which is my personal favourite.
Pricing (froyo):
Small Moo - $20
(no free toppings)
Each additional topping - $5
Take-away +$1
Each additional plastic spoon +$0.5
Toppings:
A rather extensive list, as you can see from the photo. They also provide all sorts of sauces (Hershey's chocolate, strawberry, caramel). Not as wide a selection of fruits as Holly Cow. But i figured that Oreo goes well with anything creamy. Like McDonald's Oreo McFlurry....or Oreo ice-cream, or ice-cream wedged between two pieces of Oreo....YUMYUM
Mango was sweet.
....but seriously, toppings are WAY overpriced!!! and they don't give you a lot either
$5 each. 3toppings = $15. At Holly Cow, 3 toppings = $6.
No loyalty scheme, Humph.
Conclusion:
For the sake of convenience, Milky Cow would be one of my top choices in the mid-levels. Coz Yo Fresh on Caine Road is a no-go, and personally I think Yoghurtime doesn't even match up to the bare minimum I'd expect of FroYos...(being icy and watery and all that). Berry Good is an excellent choice too.
But the price of toppings are a huge disincentive for me...
