I am sorry to hear all these bad comments about this restaurant but I beg to differ. I come to this restaurant once in a while and I must say it's one of the best in Hong Kong. The fish is fresh and the chefs are very serious about the cuisine. Their Tonkatsu is probably one of the best J have tasted in HK. From what I have heard in many of the negative reviews I feel that these reviews are very biased and are negative simply because these critics find the food too expensive. I am sorry to say but $3xxxHKD for fine Japanese food in Hong Kong is really common and sure in North America tastings are around $100-120/head but this is Hong Kong a mediocre meal is easily over $1000 hkd.
I not here to argue with other food critiques but I just want other people to know that have not tried sushi shin that this place never disappoints me. Mind you, it's not cheap, but just because Chateau Lafite is unreasonable expensive that does not mean it is not of high quality and worth trying.
