It is located on 1/F above the wet market in Wanchai. There are several Thai grocery shops around this area and I expect they serve authentic Thai food as it looks like there is a community of Thai in this area. When we were seated, I saw those nice decorations. Two of us orderedineapple Fried Rice ($68) - served in pineapple shell, portion is enough for 2 people. When we were seated, I saw those nice decorations.
Two of us ordered:
Pineapple Fried Rice ($68) - served in pineapple shell, portion is enough for 2 people. The sweetness of pineapple blends well with all the ingredients: pinepapple pulp, raisins, cashew nuts, shrimps, mussels, squid, basil, Chinese sausage. Very satisfactory!
Seafood Fried guay tiew noodles - This dish is spicy. The smell of the hot peppers is good. Besides the mixed seafood, there are also green beans, onion, bell peppers, chilli. My husband exclaimed that he had not had fried noodles so good for a long time!
Tom Yaam Goong - already had the 2 very good dishes before this, the soup also did not disappoint us. The soup is also spicy. I can taste and see all the proper ingredients which should be there: cilantro, lemongrass, lemon leaves, straw mushrooms, ginger, shrimps, chilli. It is much better than another place who serves the soup with no ingredients we can find and we could only taste hot and sour. A little minus is that the sourness does not taste like it is from fresh lime juice but from bottle, it lacks a bit of tartness. We ordered a small size but the portion is big, we could have 4 bowls of soup.
We like this place and will go back again.
When we settled the bill, we saw that there was no 10% service charge.
