It's my first time to spend times to write a comment for a restaurant. I made a booking for 7/1 dinner to celebrate my Mum's birthday through openrice on 6/1. When I arrived the restaurant at 19:40 on 7/1, I was told my booking had been cancelled because they had called me several times but in vain. Well, I then recocgnized that I had 2 missed calls, 1 was made at 14:21 and 1 was made at 17:38 at which I was watching a movie with my family. For god sake, even a cafe is able to leave a voice mai
I made a booking for 7/1 dinner to celebrate my Mum's birthday through openrice on 6/1. When I arrived the restaurant at 19:40 on 7/1, I was told my booking had been cancelled because they had called me several times but in vain.
Well, I then recocgnized that I had 2 missed calls, 1 was made at 14:21 and 1 was made at 17:38 at which I was watching a movie with my family.
For god sake, even a cafe is able to leave a voice mail if you can't reach the customer at the first time. If they did so, I would definitely call back. They are like accusing me of not answering the call.
When I and my family'd got sit, we found that the floor was not properly swept where some debris was found near the pillar next to our table. What even made us more surprised was that 1 of the chair was totally broken.
We ordered a fresh calm with white wine sauce, a Caezar Salad, a pizza, a Lobster tail risotto, a rib eye steak, lamb chops, barramundi and 3 chocolate foundant cakes. To be frank, the food were basically good, except the barramundi and the Caezar Salad.
Nonetheless, I could say there was no service was provided by the restaurant at all. To begin with, it's my very 1st time that no one had ever helped us to refill our glasses even we had ordered 2 bottles of wine (properly the wine is not expensive I think), not to mention they had no knowledge at all. What's more, all the staff were not working proactively unless you asked them for help. Of course, no smiling face could be seen all night long. Somewhat irritated me was that, whever you asked for anything which they did not have, their staff would just say, "no, we don't have" or "it's sold out" instead of "sorry, we don't have" or I am sorry, it's sold out or we recommend ...".
All in all, if you just look for good food, this might be a good place to go but if you want more, like good or detail-minded service, I definity won't recommed this restaurant to you.
