Colleague recommended a new vegan place — Family Vegetarian, near work to me. We went there for lunch last week. They have lunch menu during weekdays. They cost about $60-70. It comes with a bowl of soup, some little starters, a main and a piece of fruit. On the day we visited, there were three options to choose from. We picked Singaporean fired noodle, stewed pumpkin, taro, seasonal veg with rice. We got some black beans and fungus for starters and a piece of orange. The soup tasted very nice

The singaporean noodle is fried with bell pepper, celery, carrots and cabbage. It was nicely seasoned and tasted very nice. Portion can be a little bigger, maybe i was too hungry that day!
The stewed pumpkin, taro, with seasonal veg and rice. The pumpkin is very very sweet. Taro is nice but not much of it. There are some pak choi there. Again the portion can be a bit bigger.
Its a nice choice for vegetarians lunch in kwun tong where veggie options is still very limited. Its cosy, nice atmosphere, and a good lunch with good value!
