We made a booking via table map n we called explicitly to confirm table n baby chair. However upon arrival, I was asked to go to the 1st floor, and a woman with iPad dressed in black n pony tail said she could not find the said booking via heir system. Even I show her the table map reservation, she just said its not on their system and offer to alternative solution. I was quite surprised at her service level. We made a booking via table map n we called explicitly to confirm table n baby chair. However upon arrival, I was asked to go to the 1st floor, and a woman with iPad dressed in black n pony tail said she could not find the said booking via heir system. Even I show her the table map reservation, she just said its not on their system and offer to alternative solution. I was quite surprised at her service level. I have to ask the third time until she offered "well u can sit outside but need to return table by 8". while my friend arrived downstairs and a man offered him a table until 8.30 even he couldn't find the reservation. The lady claimed if reservation is by phone is via central office( so it's not her problem) but if via table map it's done by themselves. I was quite disappointed by their service level and when we sat down she "reminded" again we have to leave by 8. So I said well it isn't really our problem coz she made a reservation. Then she said " so you are not happy with the table?" I was quite shocked of what she said and the replied " well I am not happy with the service". Surprisingly she then ask "So, what are you not happy about?". I am totally surprised as we made a booking n not find n not offered any solution n finally we got a table n I should be happy?? Is this a Gordon Ramsay standard? She then further explained after my complain but her statements shows once again "well is m sorry we couldn't find your booking, but it's not our problem" attitude. Totally disappointed. To be fair, food was of no problem n other staff r actually "normal". Signature fish n chips are above average n the burger n lasagna was great. Just can't understand is " normal service expectation" really that hard to meet in Hk these days?
