This place serves arguably one of the best basque burnt cheesecakes in Hong Kong. Apart from their staple flavours (Vanilla and Rum Raisin), they change and rotate flavours regularly. Flavours that I had before and I found particularly memorable is pistachio and raspberry. This time round I tried their lemon burnt cheesecake. This place serves arguably one of the best basque burnt cheesecakes in Hong Kong. Apart from their staple flavours (Vanilla and Rum Raisin), they change and rotate flavours regularly. Flavours that I had before and I found particularly memorable is pistachio and raspberry. This time round I tried their lemon burnt cheesecake.

As always, the cake was perfectly baked with a mousse-like creamy vanilla interior and a gorgeous golden surface. The half molten centre with cream cheese oozing out of it is to die for! I feel sorry for the people who don’t appreciate this (probably never baked a basque burnt cheesecake him/herself) and criticise Hemma’s cheesecake as being structureless. Perhaps they only had New York cheesecakes in their lives 🤷🏻‍♀️ The cheesecake here certainly is textbook material of what a proper basque burnt cheesecake should be!
