It was our first visit to this restaurant. Our friends had booked the venue for a birthday dinner. They had been there before and knew Luigi, the bar manager. He welcomed us at the entrance and introduced himself. He promised to take good care of us and so he did. The restaurant is clean and projects a warm and cosy atmosphere. The set dinner cost hkd 248 and included a choice of starters, mains and dessert. Our table neighbours went for the set and all dishes looked great. Pizza was't part of the menu and hence, we ordered a la carte. We thought prices were very reasonable and portions generous. My wife and I went for mussels in white wine sauce as a starter. The mussels were fat and tasty. I then had a parma ham pizza with rocket salad that was very yummy too. My wife followed Luigi's recommendation and ordered a seafood risotto (there is 3 risottos on offer but change daily). It did not disappoint. The ttexture was creamy and smooth, the seafood flavour intense yet not overpowering. Our friends tried the ribeye, the ricotta ravioli and the lamb chops, amongst others. Everyone seemed to utterly enjoy their food. I only tried the lamb chops and loved them. They had a nice pink colour inside, were juicy and non-chewy. Also, I liked the fact that there was no overpowering lamb smell. We skipped dessert as we were full already. Luigi refilled our glasses with Chianti once more before we felt we needed to get some fresh air after this delicious dinner. It was a great eve amongst friends complemented with great food and service. Luigi was an amazing host. We'll be back!
