We had a boozy brunch on the recent bank holiday and managed to persuade one of our Kowloon avoiders to try something on the mainland. Al Molo came out of nowhere. Salad bar was exceptional. In addition to plenty of cold cuts there was a seafood section, soups and salads. Plus a cheese board and even some hot dishes such as rigatoni with sauce and an excellent truffle scrambled egg. The meal choices were pretty standard and of good quality. The pizzas were rated highly.
Some minor points. The dishes weren’t refilled as often as I would have liked so often ran out. The seafood choice was a bit limited and the crab legs were very small and hardly worth the effort. Prawns were good as were the mussels.
The prosecco top ups were regular and carried on until just after 4pm. The food was take away promptly at 4 so don’t expect a little carryover like in some places.
Service was spot on and the view and setting very cool.
Definitely one of return to particularly as you feel fuller in the pocket and it’s not such a ‘lazy gweilo’ choice that most our our friends would opt for.
