We were on a bit of a budget for a birthday this year so we scouted around for a place that was outside central but looked like it sold good food. We went for the set meal, but we upgraded some of the options. The set soup (carrot) was solid, the upgraded seafood bisque was lovely. Set salad was so-so and was probably the most average part of the meal. Our steaks were also super nice - really well cooked. We also pre-ordered what was supposed to be creme brulee'd foie gras as an extra, which came in a hollowed out egg shell. I don't know about creme brulee, but the goose liver was creamy and had a nice texture. Upgraded desert (apple strudel) was really good. The standard one was okay. Service through the whole meal was polite and efficient.
We would definitely go back, this place was really good value. While the rest of Youth Square was empty this place was pretty crowded - we suspect other people feel the same way about it.
