I've tried Crazy Pie's tarts twice and though the very first tart that I've tried was disappointing, the second and others that followed did not. My first tart was the Earl Grey tart - this looked pretty and smelled really good too. I was so excited and had high hopes for it, but was quite disappointed when I took my first bite. The tart itself had a mochi base, which is unusual for tarts. I like mochi when eaten alone but this mochi base was too hard and overly chewy to the point that it detrac
The second tart I tried was their Hokkaido 360 banana milk tart. This was a seasonal flavour and I did not have high expectations, unlike the first tart. But I was pleasantly surprised. The banana and milk flavour went really well together and the texture was great. I highly recommend this.
Other notable flavours I've tried include:
- Tieguanyin chocolate: this is another one of my favourites! The tea flavour complemented the chocolate really well so that the overall flavour isn't too sweet. The tea flavour is definitely prominent, which is great. 10/10 would recommend this.
- Pistachio: surprisingly creamy! The flavour was strong and the texture was so creamy. It almost felt like I was eating pistachio ice cream. I'd say go for it if you love pistachios!
- Strawberry cheesecake: the cheesecake part was really hard, almost like a mix of new york cheesecake and ice cream (in a good way). The strawberry cream complemented it really well.
