I have been a customer of this dessert place since I was a kid. The desserts here are really great compare to most of the popular, and so called "excellent", dessert stores in HK. Moreover, the price is very affordable and the service is warm. A kind of rare-to-find dessert it serves is taro root sago soup. I used to order this every time I came when I was little. A kind of rare-to-find dessert it serves is taro root sago soup. I used to order this every time I came when I was little. Now, I like the bean soups better, as the store uses quite a generous amount of beans to make them and the soups are cooked to the consistency, which I very much appreciate. The seasame and almond soups are not very smooth but quite aromatic and fresh. The sweetness is just to my taste (not too sweet.) Most importantly, the soups are served real hot.
However, to be honest, the quality of the desserts is not as good as before, and sometimes inconsistent. Also, the store had once added some new ingredients to the original recipes, as I remember; but I rather have it stick to its old recipes. I haven't been there since then.
