Recently, Ocean Park has a Gundam theme and this extends to their afternoon tea a the hotel. We booked through openrice and had 20% discount.The drinks came first and I tried their cocktail. I was a bit worried whether it would be too strong but it wasn't and it was really refreshing.The Afternoon tea set came and the stand was quite lovely like a spiral stair. The Afternoon tea set came and the stand was quite lovely like a spiral stair. Almost all the food items have a gundam theme to it, which was quite cute.
We had the scones first as it was the only warm/hot item of the set. It was warm and buttery. In the past, I felt the rose jam was a bit overpowering but this time, since they served hojicha scones, it matched perfectly with it. The plain scones definitely matched the Yuzu jam more.
For the desserts, I loved the red bean/green tea cake the most while the tamago was definitely my favorite savory.
