Dinner with my boyfriend at De Viet House tonight. We’ve ordered several dishes such as clam and vermicelli casserole, spicy chicken drumsticks in French style, king prawn skewers and some garlic bread. The clam was fresh and outrageously good. The vermicelli soup and Chinese lettuce made a good combination, lemon grass and herbs gave a nice fresh taste aswell. I wasn’t sure about the ‘French style’ of drumsticks, however the sauce was surprisingly good! It wasn’t as spicy as I thought though.
King prawn was about 9 inches, succulent and meaty, good for starter.
I wasn’t a big fan of garlic bread, but the garlic bread in here was quite nice as it seasoned with a lot of herbs and onions. I guess it would be nice to go with curry casserole aswell.
I like the restaurant as it focuses on the quality of food and healthy good methods(like what it mentioned on the menu). The price is reasonable but I think it would better for me to go with more friends so we can order more dishes to share =)
The staff were friendly and service was good overall.
