As I follow the Sanrio social media page, I found out that a few restaurants in Hong Kong were creating Hello Kitty themed food and naming this the Hello Kitty Hungry Hunt. Upon a purchasing something from their menu, you will get a pin as a souvenir. I decided to go to the first on the list and hopefully, I will visit them all???? Hopefully???Though Pun's Food has two locations, only their Tsim Sha Tsui branch is participating in this. They even have a stuffed Hello Kitty next to their bear. A
Though Pun's Food has two locations, only their Tsim Sha Tsui branch is participating in this. They even have a stuffed Hello Kitty next to their bear. And that is pretty much the only design for the event.
They have a special Hello Kitty menu. Menu is in Englsh and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge.
After ordering two items from their Hello Kitty menu, you get a pin. You also get a Hello Kitty placemat if you order from this menu.
As I wanted a pin, I ordered two items. The first was Kitty Pun's Forest Coffee ($62). It was cute! There was a white chocolate Hello Kitty that was stuck on a Pocky stick so she could hang onto the cup. The coffee smoothie was icy with a nice amount of coffee flavor. There was some cream and soft and chewy boba. This was delicious!
The other item was Kitty Taiwanese Gua Bao ($52). The bao was stamped with Hello Kitty on it.
The bao was soft and fluffy with a slight sweet taste. There was a piece of juicy pork chop that was nicely seasoned. The pickled cabbage was crisp and sour. It was pretty delicious.
The food looked nice and it tasted quite good. It wasn't lazily slapped together. Hopefully the other restaurants that are doing this will be just as good.
