Was really craving Thai food and finally ticked Mak Mak off the list! This retro-inspired restaurant is tucked away in the Landmark, and serves up a range of aromatic Thai dishes with flavours that we all know and love. 🇹🇭 Pic 1️⃣&2️⃣: Khao Soi (泰北咖喱雞肉金麵) - $148 hkd 🐔 — This was actually my first time having khao soi and it’s definitely something I’ll be having more often!! — This was actually my first time having khao soi and it’s definitely something I’ll be having more often!! This dish was incredibly flavourful and addictive. The curry sauce was aromatic, creamy and not overly spicy. Meanwhile, the egg noodles were cooked to perfection and mopped up all the goodness from the sauce. Loved the addition of deep fried egg noodles which added a crunchy element to the dish. The portion size of this was very generous, as it came with an entire chicken thigh which was well marinated and super tender.
Pic 3️⃣: Coconut Ice Cream (椰子雪糕伴花生及棕櫚果) - $88 hkd 🥥
— Definitely an all time favourite Thai dessert and perfect way to end the meal! The coconut ice cream was so refreshing and did not have an artificial coconut flavour to it, texture was also smooth and creamy. The sweetcorn and peanuts helped balance out the sweetness and added crunch to the dessert. I really enjoyed the chewiness coming from the palm seeds, though they were slightly too sweet.
Pic 4️⃣: Yum Nuer Yang (烤牛肉沙律) - $178 hkd 🥩🥗
— Quite disappointed by this salad considering its price point. The roasted beef was so tough barely seasoned, with most of the flavour coming from the marinated cucumbers. The portion size was also really underwhelming. The salad dressing was tasty but might not be for everyone as it’s super spicy.
