The appetiser we had was potato salad. The salad was nicely flavoured. I like how they did not use mayo to dress the salad making it a lot lighter.Next were mung beans. They were huge! Next were mung beans. They were huge! The beans tasted refreshing.The fish had a chewy texture and tasted sweet. It’s for sure best to go with wine. This wine tasted extra pure.
You can tell how fresh the sashimi is by looking at the glowy surface. The sashimi had an interesting texture, not that soft but slightly chewy. There were a few condiments to be mixed with the sauce such as ginger and scallion bits. Eating with a sour sauce made it even sweeter.
Sometimes,whelk can be quite chewy and hard but this was really soft with a little texture. They were in little pieces so it’s really easy to finish them all.
The assorted tempura includedshrimps, fish, eggplant, pumpkin, okra and baby corn. the okra tasted so good! It was so fresh and sweet. The shrimps tasted really rich and flavourful too.
The clams were big and portion was generous. The consomme was so light and fresh. It tasted sweet with a hint of white wine taste.
The fish head was grilled to perfection with crispy skin and juicy fish meat. The fish was tender, smooth and juicy.
We had some yakitori too. The ox tongue had a crispy skin while the inside was soft and a bit chewy. It tasted so rich. I just couldn't stop saying how perfect their yakitori was. the eel skin was once again crispy and aromatic. The meat was really thick and juicy. It tasted rich but without being too greasy.
The Junmai Dai Ginjo tasted really pure, smooth and velvelty with rich rice flavour. It's a good choice to go with all the food.Last but not least was the toro donburi. You could see their passion by looking at the rice. They were cooked to al dente but not mushy. Eating the donburi was just an indulgence with the rich and greasy tuna taste.
