Rumour has it Edo & Bibo does steak really well, and i saw there menu on the restaurant week website so we decided to try it out.HK Restaurant week menu $438To be honest, $438 for 5 courses is very cheap and we shouldnt be expecting very high quality dishes. The a la carte menu here offers steak at 438 alone. So i think its the price of this menu that makes the experience less enjoyable. Portobello Mushroom Salad with Beef Tartar
served with baby spinach leaf, semi dried cherry tomatoes & blueberry balsamic Quite good, normal salad.
Pan-‐ Roasted French Quail
served with honey pommery, celeriac, green apple & crispy leek i think this is a good quality Quail, but it lacks some seasoning.
Fennel & Tomato
served with crab meat A bit too sour.
Spaghetti Watercress
served with garlic, rosemary, mild chilli
**** Very nicely cooked and season. Its a good dish
Grilled USDA Prime Rib-‐eye (8oz) A bit disappointed. Although it is cook to medium rare, the quality of the meat is quite obviously low. There is no aroma of beef/steak. I felt like eatting any kind of meat.
I would come back and try out their normal a la carte menu, but for the restaurant week menu, i would say its a bargain.
