This area of Prince Edward always has so many different food shops that sell all sorts of things. It seems every time I come here, there is something new. They had what they called Hong Kong style pie on display. It seemed like bread with toppings. Upon ordering, they take a slice and pop it into the oven to reheat.
Menu is in English and Chinese and there is no 10% service charge. They serve the Hong Kong style pie. One slice costs $25-30. While you can also order a whole 9 inch pieces. Along with the pie, they also serve various teas that they call Softpuccino. I discovered they all had foam on top, thus why it's called Softpuccino. A play on cappuccino, I guess?
They have various toppings that are Hong Kong in style. I chose a slice of the satay beef pie ($30). After they reheated it in the oven, it was pretty good Warm and gooey from the melted cheese. The bread was soft and chewy. The satay beef didn't have a strong satay taste but it was not too bad as there was a lot of topping. It was really delicious.
I didn't order a drink but will do so next time as I did see the person next to me order one and it looked pretty good. I'll be back and try the other pie versions. It was like a thick crust pizza and that was pretty good in my book.
