Dedicate my first review to Seasons by Olivier Elzer. I am a fan of Pierre, Robuchon, Caprice and no doubt attracted here by the chef's "past" reputation, it proved that I am so wrong.The place is nicely decorated, the area I sat was at the windows near the outdoor area. The place is nicely decorated, the area I sat was at the windows near the outdoor area. Staffs were pleasant but it seems they didn't have sufficient training / experience to be confidence in serving. Among them, one waiter didn't look tidy enough being in such venue, his shirt wasn't fully tucked in and he carried a cock screw hanging on his pant's pocket, his clothes almost look dirty to me.

Service wise, don't expect much, definitely not in the league of fine dining, the server may or may not tell you what the dish is or they may simple tell you this is your soup....

I ordered 5 courses from their lunch menu with high hope initially. First came prawn frise salad and calamansi jelly

The dish was ok but calamansi jelly? More like lemon jelly to me, no surprise at all.

Chilled honey melon soup and granite Gewurztraminer, don't let the granite Gewurtraminer melt into the soup, it will ruin the soup and make it excessively sweet without any other taste. My heart started to sink.

Not good looking and tasted awful, the meat was lightly sour and stench of pork lingered. I told the waitress and she said she will let the chef know and took my dish away.

It was the best thing for my whole meal since all other were so disappointing.

When the bill came, I found that they have charged 5 courses without any regard to my returned dish, the waitress said she will go double check, next came the chef himself saying it seems we have trouble with his dishes and he would like to hear it. I hesitated and then said to be honest, all except the dessert and the beef were unacceptable and went on saying what the problems were. Obviously, he didn't like it and interrupted me twice by saying "You are done?" So I stopped and he said in order to provide lunch set starting from $288, you are getting this quality, if you want something good, you should go for a la carte. The conversation didn't end well. Just how can I trust you with a la carte if you can't even make a decent lunch? As for how good their a la carte is, please read Ali's review http://www.openrice.com/restaurant/reviews.htm?shopid=175633, her post said it all.

Afterwards, I had a little chat with the Manager / Captain regarding the food; services and was told that they don't actually position themselves as fine dining restaurant. That might explain the level of service as well as no amuse bouche or aperitif. Mind you, they do have dress code and the price they charged are likely among fine dining category.

My suggestion, go spend your hard earn $$$ elsewhere, this is not worth it.
