My parents were terrified but the sea of spices when it was being served
The amount of peppercorn added into it was MASSIVE
therefore the stock smelled and tasted perfectly!
While waiting for the stock to boil, we had some snacks
Fried pork cubes and glutinous rice cakes with brown sugarBoth are my favourite Sichuan dishes
The fried pork cubes tasted especially good, it was so mouthwatering due to the smell and taste of Sichuan peppercorn
That redness is magnificent
We ordered a couple of plates of visceraThey were all so clean, fresh and of high-quality, matching all the criteria you would suppose to have met
Highly appreciated!
Additionally, some plates of meatballs and beef
I'd say they all worth the price~
Tender and meaty, just the best plates you could find for hotpot
Especially the beef, its taste just naturally spreads inside your mouth, which is so irresistable
To strike a balance, we ordered veggies and noodles too~I liked how we could order 1 basket of different veggies, instead of ordering them one by one.
The noodles were great, once it turned transparent, I couldn't wait to put it into my mouth. It was so chewy, it gets extra yummy when it absorbed the spicy broth
Last but not least, some drinks to mediate the spice
I like how it differs from what other hotpot spots serve, it's rather sour for this one and not too sweet
