Mr Yoshihiro Yamakawa hails from Kyoto and studied patisserie from France , aim to create desserts which mix France and Japanese styles , had finally establish Yamakawa 's own style dessert brand . Selecting ingredients is one of the most important elements of his creations - for instance , Yamakawa insists on only using Japanese Uji Matcha because of its rich tastes and other seasonal ingredients . It is these principles which are followed in the Hong Kong Branches to create wonderful desserts . And before eating all of them up , let 's take a group photo first ! My favorite part !

This is one of their signature desserts that impressed me most . I have no idea how a piece of green tea cake can be that sophisticated . A warm tone not act like a hotshot , but stand out from the crowd indeed . The cake is in a olive green color with a chestnut dice. Thought somewhat common looking , the big taste makes up for any aesthetic downfalls . The pastry is more than generous with its strong matcha foundation while simultaneously going light on the sugar . The texture is spongy with 7 distinctive layers and you will leave craving another bite.

This fruit tart is a big refreshment, mixed berries place on top with bright colors , not only for fabulous looking , but also aromatic. Berries are sweet and juicy , match well with the custard . All freshness are on a buttery base . The tart is flaky and airy at the same moment , taste sightly different compare to the normal one since Yamakawa added madeleines to form the tart , that's why a double - satisfaction , very plentiful and unique . This french weekend tradition boost up the vitality during your enjoyment .

This mousse cake looks lofty with some chocolate pieces on side and gold leaf garnishment on top . Mousse cake is greatly silky smooth , very creamy yet not overwhelming . Chocolate is extremely rich in flavor , tastes dense while leaving a mellow note lingering on your palate . The passion fruit content sightly ooze out and bring us a surprise . The fruity sensation blend well with both cream and chocolate hint , successfully complex the flavor.

The blueberry cheese cake is about average . The main point is the cheese cake is not original one , not the baked one . That 's why the cake is not in that rich cheesy flavors at all . The cake is more like mousse cake that it is not what a traditional cheese cake should be . And the macarons on side is unnecessary but at least for a lovely looking. From my point of view , this is certainly not a choice for cheese cake lovers ! I do think it's over sweet , but for some gals , it may be a good treat to satisfy your sweet tooth .

Another chocolate treat that is equally outstanding . The chocolate cake looks splendid , strong in flavor and likable . The layers are superlative under a fruitful content . White chocolate coat , custard cream , chocolate sponge cake , chocolate almond crunch and raspberry jelly are all blend into an impeccability to create such arousing mouthfuls . I can also barely taste a caramelize base too ! All ingredients complement each other perfectly with a very tempting touch , certainly can satisfy your max. This is recommended if you looking for something new or surprise.

This dessert cup is simple yet creative . The whole thing is just made of mousse and signature sponge cake , topped assorted fruits and a . Assorted fruits are fresh and plump , somehow I just can't feel any rum hint from the little wine test tube . The mousse is creamy and light , very delectable while the sponge cake is even more remarkable . Its weightless texture will melt subtlety in your mouth , both marvelous texture and taste got the potential to moves u . Such graceful delicacy is suitable for anyone ,very light and favorable .

A lovely glamorous heart- shape cake , girls ' favorite ! This cake is comparatively simple and ordinary , but still tastes good . Sponge cake and whip cream is soft , the raspberry coat and raspberry jam is sour , yet refreshing , successfully balance the overall mouthfuls . Somehow the layers are not strong , a bit insipid .
