I used to go to this place sometimes to work when it was called Cafe O, since it had free wifi. Now it's no longer called Cafe O, but I think it's owned and operated by the same people, because the receipt said "Cafe O" and the wifi password is the same.It seems they've rebranded it so they could acquire some evening clientele in the form of... bar hoppers in Sheung Wan? The branding struck me as pretty inauthentic, to tell the truth. For example, the walls have pictures and posters for, for example, The Beatles, The Stones, and The Doors. You know what they were playing while we were there? Here's an example: The Calling, "I'll go wherever you will go,"
If I could, then I would
I'll go wherever you will go
Way up high or down low
I'll go wherever you will go
Is his girlfriend some sort of BASE jumping spelunker? We also heard a Santana song with the guy from Nickelback. Why not just play The Doors? Are the rights to Nickelback that much cheaper? Sheesh, the music was terrible. And those are just the examples I Shazam'd to find out who was producing these awful sounds.
I listed the menu prices above, but we got the set lunch, which came at $78 for the half panini, plus a salad and a drink. My salad was fine, but I found the use of goat cheese in a Greek salad somewhat strange.
In the end, I don't think I'll come back. Neither of us liked either panini and they were playing the guy from Nickelback. At a place that says it has "the best music in town" (quote from Facebook page). Citation needed.
