I was craving the KFC mushroom rice so I decided trying this place would be a good idea. I should’ve gone to KFC (which I found out later is near by) but I guess I was feeling frisky and risky by trying out a new thing. I shouldn’t have. That’s the lesson I learn every time. I ordered the baked porcini(?) mushroom chicken rice and it wasn’t great. It was $49 which isn’t too expensive but this really wasn’t a satisfying meal. The flavor of the sauce was off. I’ll describe it as having a overly strong and heavy meaty gravy plastic flavor without any hint of mushroom. The chicken was also suspiciously tender. I learnt my lesson. I will avoid trying a new thing. Chicken Factory never sounded appetizing and I have a stomach ache now. What happened to the integrity of hong kong’s fast food places?? Why does everything taste so bad?? Why do we keep accepting things that are suboptimal for cheap?? And it’s not even worth it. I would have rather have spent more elsewhere but why am I the one being penalized for my decision?? Too bad right! I had a very depressing day before and this weird meal made me wake up. I guess that’s one thing. At least I’m not happy that I’m not happy.
