I was really happy this dinner was good because I can't get good Western food on the Kowloon side without forking out on expensive restaurants. The mains was just the usual stuff that you would find to cater for the general HK population but the appetizers and salads were bloody amazing.Started with the soup which was no ordinary soup, it was tomato and fennel and I love fennel and not many Chinese chefs use this herb.It was tangy with a lovely hint of fennel.Next, had the salad. Started with the soup which was no ordinary soup, it was tomato and fennel and I love fennel and not many Chinese chefs use this herb.
It was tangy with a lovely hint of fennel.
I had the burrata salad and it was dressed with delicious sweet pesto sauce with sweet heirloom tomatoes.
But you only get three small falafel pieces on the salad.
There was Raclette cheese toast on the menu which was so delicious if you like Cheese so I had two.
To be honest, it didn't taste like Raclette but it was real decent cheese and not processed cheese.
The chips were fluffy in the middle and the fish was flakey and yummy with fish skin attached which keeps the fish flavour.
The star of the show was the Japanese kewpie mayonnaise because it works wonders with chips when you don't have real mayonnaise!
I just wish there was vinegar as well.
The presentation is a bit like a Chinese sachima and it tasted like fried extruded batter squiggles which is crispy and soft in the middle.
Normally it is served with icecream but I didn't fancy icecream so I asked them to change it to fluffy cream
Ended the meal nicely with a strong mocha with a cute pug on it .
