I was promptly seated at the bar but it took almost ten minutes for someone to take my order, even after I had put my menu down on the table and looked around at the waiters with big, hopeful eyes.
The starter salad was good, fresh and crunchy with a creamy, savoury dressing. Miso soup tasted like any other.
My chicken curry was OK; portion size was fine and the sauce was thick, but the flavour was slightly off. Likewise the grilled chicken topping was not what I would have expected of grilled chicken and came with all its skin and fat attached (which to be fair, is because I'm from the West where grilled meat is lean and clean). It wasn't especially tasty, even with its fat.
At HK$92, I wouldn't rush back. The meal was filling and not unpleasant, but for what it cost it was average and I'm sure I can do better in a food-mad city like Hong Kong.
