When boyfriend looked at COSY, he frowned. Another cafe, he said? No ... it's Vietnamese! In the guise of a cafe! As he was not sure where else to eat, he agreed to go in.The place was defnitely cosy and small. The staff was nice and offered suggestions on what was popular.Menu is in Chinese only. There is no English and no 10% service charge. They have dinner sets that include a drink. I went a la carte and ordered a Vietnamese coffee ($22). This was quite good. Not too strong though but at least went down smooth.
I also ordered the Hainan chicken with rice noodles ($50). The portion of chicken was generous enough. The meat was moist and juicy. The skin not overly fat.
The rice noodles were still springy and portion wasn't too much. The broth was fanastic and had a rich chicken flavor.
Boyfriend ordered the Pandan grilled chicken with rice dinner set ($68). The chicken was delicious. The meat was juicy and the skin crisp.
The staff asked if wanted a dessert of the day which was a Vietnamese coffee creme brulee ($48). The top was nicely crystalized without being too thick. The taste of the coffee was strong and the custard itself was super creamy and smooth. A lovely end to the meal.
A really nice cosy place. The food was delicious though not huge portions. But quite ok for light eaters. The staff was friendly. Would definitely be back.
