Boyfriend and I were in this area of Kwai Chung to meet up with an old coworker of mine who lived in the area. I haven't seen here in a while so she said to just meet her at a place nearby her home. 叉燒丼家 (English name: The Master of Char Siu) was what she chose because she remembered I love char siu. At first we thought it was a roast meat place but when we crossed the street, we found it was cha chan teng. Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. The sets include a hot
It came with toast, scrambled egg and ham. The ham was fine and not overly salty. The scrambled eggs were soft and fluffy. Oddly the toast was very thin and not buttered. But at least it was crispy.
Condensed French Toast ($22). My friend had the French toast. This was topped with condensed milk and syrup was placed on the side. What was surprising is there was peanut butter in it! So many places have started to leave out the peanut butter now. I had a bit of the French toast and it was pretty good. Not overly oily.
