After my first and second choices had run out (I wanted Swiss chicken wings with salad to be told they had no more Swiss sauce and then they told me there were no more hotdogs when I wanted a hotdog), I ordered Hong Kong style French toast ($26). Much to my surprise, there was peanut butter in the middle. How many places I've been where it was just deep fried toast with nothing else! It was ok. Though wish there was more peanut butter. But then again, I've been to so many where they skip this so I should be happy with the minimal amount. The toast was fluffy and there as a good slab of butter.
Boyfriend had the stir fried beef rice noodles ($39). Portion size was big. It looked a bit pale but it tasted pretty good. Though it was also super oily. There was a layer of oil on the bottom of the plate. The beef was soft without the taste of meat tenderizer. There were some crunchy raw onions thrown in.
Prices are pretty cheap. Portions were ok. Though the items I seem to order were not available. There is a lot of swearing in the kitchen but other than that staff was friendly enough. I guess I'll only be back if boyfriend wants to eat here.
