Saw this restaurant and had a look at the menu which made me think it was very authentic.I ordered a mussels Marinere - it literally was mussels boiled in water with salt with a dash of milk. Horrible ...The next dish that I ordered was the polenta chips with blue cheese dip. My chips tasted like crushed up Special K cereal deep fried- which was served with the most watery and tasteless blue cheese sauce on the side.The last dish we ordered was a pasta in cream sauce. The last dish we ordered was a pasta in cream sauce. Which according to their version it was to boil pasta and put it on top of a puddle of Luke warm milk.
Very nice decor- and the staff were friendly - but demonstrated no knowledge of their menu. I sent the polenta chips back and asked them whether they had ever tasted this dish before. Which they admitted they haven't before.
I've worked in an Italian restaurant for many years before moving to HK. And this was purely disappointing.
