What a great Italian night at Da Filippo!!🤩Andrea Alimenti, who has been rewarded as Michelin 1-star chef, started his new adventure in HK! We picked one starter on our choice for our own selves. I ordered Beef Tartar while my bf chose his favourite lobster bisque.
Beef Tartar was eye catching. It is topped with an egg yolk and sided with parmesan cheese slices, red onion, mustard, anchovy, etc.

Lobster bisque had a rich taste of lobster, which we could notice this before tasting as it has a deeper colour comparing to normal lobster bisque. It has a thick body and i liked this.

The spaghetti is al dente and the sauce was just right too😍no cream or butter, just egg yolk 👍🏻a traditional carbonara ❤️ the Spanish pork cheek meat (a.k.a Guanciale/bacon) taste good too and not too salty 😆

I ordered Medium Rare as usual. It’s just perfect 👌🏻 it is slow cooked and thus it has an unique soft texture which you cannot find in pan fried steak. Beef taste is rich, love it.

How can you miss out pizzas 🍕 in an Italian’s restaurant?😋
Undoubtedly we ordered PIZZA 🍕 and we chose meat lovers 😋 I could see Parma ham, salami, spicy salami and finocchiona.(I didn’t read the menu in very detail) you can know that it will be a bit salty 😜

Nevertheless, the pizza dough gave us a huge surprise! It is made from house-made sourdough !! I love sourdough so much and the pizza is so chewy and tangy in aroma. Recommended to all Pizza lovers 🥰

The texture is really dense and the aroma of espresso balanced with greasiness of mascarpone cheese. I sincerely hope that the taste of cocoa could be stronger, making it perfect😛❣️

We do think the restaurant also put effort in making drinks !
Hunter of Alps is fresh and has a fruity flavour while Old Fashioned has a bit more of the wine taste and both were impressing!!
We will definitely be back for another Italian night!🤩🤩
