I came back from work really late tonight and I was craving Thai food. There are so many Thai restaurant in my neighbourhood, and I picked the one closest to my apartment! Unfortunately, it was a miss. Deep-Fried Shrimp on Toast - it was actually shrimp wrapped in fish paste and fried it altoghter. It was too chewy and not crispy at all. Raw Shrimp with homemade sauce - the sauce is good (in fact, this sauce saved a lot of the dishes we ordered ) but the shrimp didn't taste fresh. It was good size shrimp, just lacking freshness.
Spicy Minced Meat Salad with Pork - my bf thought this is OK. I think it's okay except I'm not a big fan of putting peanut in the meat (they put grounded peanut in the salad, so the meat becomes quite chewy). Again, the sauce saved the dish.
Mini Samosa - they may as well called it "deep fried 公仔牌curry角“ - its lacking the samosa shape and "layers of skin" - they didn't give us any sauce for this dish
Thai Style Fried Morning Glory and Chilli with Bean Paste - Disappointing - I see a lot of garlic and chilli, but how can it taste so blend?
The place has a nice patio and the seat is spacious and comfortable
I hope this is just a one-time miss, and as I can see there are quite a number of good comments here. I will make my rounds of trying Thai food in my neighbourhood before I come back again.
