A little Japanese eat-in and take out at an old factory at Kwun Tong.As many of you know, Kwun Tong is one of the places where you can find many hidden gems that you might not know, and Duksik is one of them. Is a little Japanese restaurant located (or should I said “Hidden”) in Good Luck Industrial Building. Is a really small place very quiet, but full of surprise. The food there is amazing. As many of you know, Kwun Tong is one of the places where you can find many hidden gems that you might not know, and Duksik is one of them. Is a little Japanese restaurant located (or should I said “Hidden”) in Good Luck Industrial Building. Is a really small place very quiet, but full of surprise. The food there is amazing. I’ve ordered a Blow Touched pork belly with Udon and Miso Soup set. Japanese fried Chicken, Grill Tomatoes and Soy sauce soft boil egg. Although I did order it for takeaway, but by the time I’ve to home, it was still warm – hot.
First, I ate the egg, it was done really well, full of flavours and liquid inside.
The fried chicken was done really well. The chicken wasn’t mixed with a lot paste, which is good, MORE MEAT!
The grill tomatoes was still very juicy by the time I got home to eat them, which was good! You can tell definitely tell it was cooked from scratch!
Finally, the Blow Touched Pork Belly with Udon! Where to begin… The Udon itself was handmade udon, not supermarket packets, it was thick real Japanese Udon. As a big fan of Udon, it was NAME Udon. I was really please for the value of the Udon I was getting.
Now with the Pork Belly, it was really thick and full of flavour. It wasn’t too fat, it was well balance. The sauce went really well with the pork belly and I really surprise, at first, I thought I was going to be salty, but it wasn’t salty at all. It was just right.
My overall opinion, if you want cheap and good Japanese food, you should definitely come here for both lunch and dinner. If you are feeling lazy, there was people from food panda where they can pick up your orders and deliver to you!
