I have been a Pumpernickel fan so I am being gennuinely sincere here. Wooden Table needs a major overhaul. I was there last night with wife and we stormed about totally disgusted with everything. It is very rare that both service and food could be so bad. The restaurant is advertised to be family-orientated, but the waiters and waitresses looked so miserable, as if the customers were a burden to them. They all seemed soooo busy... I was there last night with wife and we stormed about totally disgusted with everything. It is very rare that both service and food could be so bad. The restaurant is advertised to be family-orientated, but the waiters and waitresses looked so miserable, as if the customers were a burden to them. They all seemed soooo busy... Everytime we tried to get some service, they put up one hand and asked us to wait. Of course they never came back until we called them again.
Food was no better. Onion soup- small portion and cost >$30 and tasteless. Ribs - not BBQ sauce but bloody pasta sauce. Potato skins- no bacon bits, no sour cream but had such imaginitive potato bits on top. Cesar Salad - if ever anybody tried this - watery; bruised lettuce; worse than off the shelf salad sauce - surely they would have asked refund. To tops, no dish ever came until 1/2 hour after we ordered. Yeah we had time to kill but not THAT much time. All that food plus my chicken sandwich (which was barely passable) came up to $280. I don't mind paying up for good food, but this was an insult to my intelligence.
Joan (Joan is the nice order who brought you the nicey Pumper N') you have a reputation so please don't ruin it on a dime. Your latest venture bothers on disastrous the only thing I could recommend about it is the high ceiling. But you didn't build the darn place.
Please heed my advice. You won't regret it.
BTW I don't review restaurants. But my experience was so darn bad I felt prompted to sign up on Openrice.
