The interior design of the whole place is just fascinating. The whole place is decorated with cool Japanese old movie posters and old Japanese toys. We couldn’t help but keep taking pictures of the posters and the toys.
However, the cool decoration will only keep you busy for awhile. After all, we are going there for food. And I have to say the food in this restaurant is just so-so. They are not bad, but they are just okay. The skewers taste alright, but you don’t say they are very delicious. The udon is also only mediocre.
Among the dishes that we ordered, I think one dish that sort of stood out.
This dish is “Roasted garlic”. My friend and I are both big fans of garlic, and therefore, we were both really excited to try this dish. The dish turned out to taste a bit different from what we expected.
The garlic being used in this dish is quite different from those we got from the market. Instead of having a very strong garlic taste, it only carries a very light taste. And when it comes to texture, the garlic they use is actually quite crunchy. They were served with miso paste, which I find matches quite well with the garlic taste (something that I might try cooking at home). So if you are also a garlic lover, I do recommend you to try this dish out.
